UHD Meet the Industry Symposium

This year marks the eleventh year for UHD’s Marilyn Davies College of Business Meet the Industry event, Wednesday, April 22, 2020 from 10am-12:30pm. The event will be held on the campus of the University of Houston-Downtown, in our One Main building, Milam and Travis rooms, located at One North Main Street in Houston.

Meet the Industry will introduce students to a variety of industries and careers pertaining to students majoring in but not limited to Finance, Accounting, Human Resource Management, Management Information Systems (MIS), Supply Chain Management, Risk Management & Insurance, Sales & Business Development and General Management/Operations.

Niche round table discussions focus on the career paths and growth trends in specific industries, special skills needed for today’s grads and emerging trends in the industry. These panel discussions are often a robust and lively interchange among students and industry professionals and have proven to be a valuable experience for our students.

9:30am-11:30am Registration/check-in

10am-11am Table break-out discussions (Accounting and Finance-Milam Room; Management Information Systems and Supply Chain Management-Travis Room)

11am-11:30am Networking

11:30am-12:30pm Table break-out discussions (Human Resource Management and Risk Management & Insurance – Milam Room; General Management/Operations & Sales/Business Development-Travis Room)

12:30pm – Event wrap up
